Spiny-backed Orbweaver (Gasteracantha cancriformis) Spider
This Spiny-backed Orbweaver — also called the star spider, jewel spider or smiley face spider — was photographed in Bermuda in May, 2012. It can also be found across the southern United States from California to Florida, as well as in Central America, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, South America and the Bahamas.
