Tiny Pinecones
August 3-5, 2013: Photos from a visit to Muir Woods, just north of San Francisco, as well as photos from along the Pacific coast south of Big Sur, California.
I carefully composed this image to ensure the defocused background had a splash of colour, giving a sense of warmth to the cooler hues of the old-growth coastal redwood forest.
