SlutWalk

Toronto, Ont. April 3, 2011: Over 2,000 people showed up at Queen's Park Sunday afternoon for SlutWalk, a protest against a recent remark by a Toronto police representative who said "women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized." The demonstration followed by a march to police headquarters on College St. to make a unified statement about sexual assault and victims' rights and to demand respect for all. Other Slut Walk protests followed in cities across North America, Austrlia and Europe, with the mission to spread the word that those those who experience sexual assault are not the ones at fault, without exception.
